Keimoi’s - SPECTACULAR 2010 SHOW SEASON
15/05/2010Our stud enjoyed an exceptional 2010 show season with thrilling results at the 2010 Royal Canberra show, followed by a very successful result at the “Lowline Cattle Muster” 2010 Sydney Royal Easter Show.
There were 174 Lowlines, from 49 studs exhibited at this highly competitive, inaugural, feature breed showing of Lowline cattle. It was the biggest exhibition of Lowline cattle ever held in Australia, with all states of Australia represented except Tasmania.
Royal Canberra Show
Our senior cow, Keimoi Christabel, won Senior and Grand Champion Lowline Cow and went on to win the Supreme Lowline Exhibit for the show. Our young bull, Keimoi Dynasty, won Junior Champion Lowline Bull, then the Grand Champion Lowline Bull and was pitted against Keimoi Christabel for the Supreme Lowline Exhibit. It was a great thrill to have two of our animals competing against one another for the Supreme Exhibit.
To top it off our young heifer, Keimoi Elle May, won Reserve Junior Champion Heifer, whilst Keimoi Dazzle also won a very competitive heifer class.
We also won the Breeders Group and the Most Successful Exhibitor in the Lowline Category.
Sydney Royal Easter Show
We entered ten classes at the show and won ribbons in nine of those classes. This was an extremely satisfying result as all of our team were young cattle. We took three heifers to the show and all three were placed in their classes, with Keimoi Elle May winning first in her class. Keimoi Dream Girl and Keimoi Dazzle both placed third in their classes. Our Senior Cow Keimoi Christabel was placed second in her class behind the cow that went on to win Supreme Lowline Exhibit. Keimoi Elle May and Keimoi Dazzle were also placed second in the two females, not over 20 months class. As mentioned previously, we were extremely happy with these results at such a large, highly competitive show.
Our junior bull, Keimoi Dynasty won Reserve Junior Champion Bull. He has only been to two shows in his life, both royals, and has won broad ribbons at both shows.
To round things off, Keimoi Dynasty and Keimoi Christabel were placed third in the Dam’s progeny class. Their dam Brambletye Numida 2nd is one of our top stud cows.
